Regional Referee Qualification 

This is the next step on the referee pathway and is available to any fully qualified local referee. To become a regionally qualified referee a candidate must complete the theory course, pass the exam and be practically assessed in 1st and 2nd reffing and scoresheets. 

This theory course is run by CVA, and participation is free

Regional referee's are required for the following competitions:

• Christchurch Premier League (PVL) - Division 1

• Inter-Provincal Champs in the U17, U19 and U20 divisions

• Club zone competitions

• National Club Championships
